Chili
1 pound ground beef
1 (16 ounce can) Mexican chili beans
1 (16 ounce can) tomatoes
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon chili powder or to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 small onion, chopped
Brown ground beef and onion. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add beans, tomatoes, brown
sugar and chili powder. Let simmer slowly for about 15 minutes. For additional flavor or
body, tomato juice, water or a small amount of Picante sauce may be added. |
