Apricot Jello Mold

2-1 pound cans apricots, drained
2-3 ounce packages orange Jello
3 cups sour cream
2 cups hot water
cherries, nuts or Cool Whip for garnish if desired

Dissolve Jello in hot water. Mix pitted apricots with sour cream using electric mixer or blender until well blended, add to Jello mixture and mix well. Pour mixture into lightly greased mold and chill until firm.
