Valentine Cherry Scones #2
4 cups flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1-1/2 cup butter 1-1/3 cup buttermilk Cherry jam or pie filling Red sugar crystals Bake at 425 degrees. Grease baking sheet. Combine dry ingredients, cut in butter, add buttermilk. Knead gently 5 or 6 times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut with 4 inch heart cookie cutter. Lay on baking sheet, top with 1 tbsp. jam or pie filling. Moisten edges, place a second heart on top. Sprinkle with sugar crystals. Bake for 15 minutes. http://www.all-easy-recipes.co.uk
